Photography allows me to witness stories in every day life and make a tangible memory to share. These stories are rampant in life and it only takes a trained eye to look deeper.
I use documentary photography to waltz the line between fine art and photojournalism. Portraits are taken without any direction or poses to preserve unique individualism as well as authentic connection. In a way, my photography can be defined as the complete opposite of lifestyle photography. While lifestyle uses inspiration and direction to make the illusion of real life moments, I use real life moments to open a window into the imagined and the destined to be.
I rely heavily on a collaborative process with clients to let them see innovation in themselves. The portraits point to the dignity afforded to each person. Not only to make space for these stories to be recognized, but to live off the screen and grow. To see and be seen.
